Diane Fener has thirty years of experience conducting trials before judges and juries. She has been recognized by Dateline NBC, The New York Times, and The Journal of The American Bar Association for her expertise in civil rights. She earned her law degree from Georgetown University, where she was president of her graduating class, and was admitted to the bar in the District of Columbia, Virginia, California and New York.

She was employed by The International Law Firm of Fulbright & Jaworksi on its litigation team, trying civil cases with multiple corporate defendants in state court, then worked for the US Department of Justice, managing an Innovative Demonstration Project that studied the effect of race on sentencing in criminal courts.

She moved to New York where she initially worked for Raoul Felder & Partners and later returned to government service as a senior attorney at The Bronx Defenders, a public interest law firm practicing non-traditional, holistic law.

A member of the faculty at The Center for International Legal Studies, she taught classes in US Constitutional Law.

She has for the past three years chaired The Senior Lawyers Committee of the New York City Bar Association, a non-profit organization that mentors young lawyers, hosts educational lecturers and promotes legislative reforms.

She co-founded Pagewater Publishing, Inc., which was nominated for two 2021 Audie Awards by the Society of Voice Arts and Sciences.

She’s a member of The Project for Integrating Spirituality, Law and Politics, an international network of lawyers, law professors and law students developing an Integrative Law approach to social change.
