CHINS Supervision (16.1-278.5)

In cases of children in need of supervision, the judge can order the following remedies:

1. Any of the remedies permitted in the case of a child found to be in need of services;

2. Place the child on probation under with conditions (such as suspension of the child's driver's license).

3. Order the child and/or his parent to participate in such programs, cooperate in treatment.

4. Require the child to participate in a public service project.

5. In cases where the judge finds that a parent has violated the laws requiring compulsory school attendance, the judge
    may order the parent to participate in programs, cooperate in treatment, or abide by rules that the judge specifies.
